DRAFTSMAN AND ESTIMATOR (LOW VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR)

We are a low-voltage switchgear company and have an urgent opening for Electrical Draftsman/Estimation with low voltage switchgear background.

DRAFTSMAN AND ESTIMATOR (LOW VOLTAGE SWITCHGEAR)

Responsibilities and duties include:

• • Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates for LV Switchgear Panels.
• • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings & specifications.
• • Collaborate with the Sales and Engineering Teams to understand client requirements.
• • Strong knowledge of LV Switchgear components and systems.
• • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (IEC, EWA, etc.).
• • Ability to understand RFQs and prepare technical documents/quotations for all projects.
• • Preparation of Compliance Statement & Deviation List.
• • Experience with preparing and reviewing bills of materials (BOMs).
• • Ability to conduct value engineering for cost-effective solutions.
• • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• • Proficient in MS Office & AutoCAD.
• • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same field.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements:

1. 1. A bachelor’s degree in electrical drafting, drafting design, electrical engineering, or similar.
2. 2. A minimum of two years’ experience as an electrical drafter and estimator.
3. 3. Design Drafting Association certification is preferred.
4. 4. Proficiency with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
5. 5. Excellent understanding of a range of electrical generation and transmission systems.
6. 6. Thorough knowledge of electrical safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
7. 7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
8. 8. Strong interpersonal and managerial skills.
9. 9. The ability to stay up to date with the latest developments in electrical systems and best practices.
10. 10. Strong communication skills and collaborative abilities.
