A reputed company is in need of a Safety Officer with good experience

Requirements

• 1. To be available in Bahrain
• 2. Secondary school certificate
• 3.Certifications/ Qualifications related to Safety
• 4. Should have a minimum experience of at least 5 years.

Main Duties: Safety Officer Bahraini

o Conduct Inspections, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Investigate Safety and Health related occurrences and take appropriate control/preventive measures to address hazards and report re-occurrences.

o Follow up to ensure preventive measures are implemented in a timely manner. Facilitate Internal and external OSH Inspections while ensuring compliance to Company and Airport authorities’ health, safety, and security regulations. Submit inspection reports to the line manager for review and approval, prior to submission to the concerned department.

o Create periodical reports for Managements perusal and provide statistical data review, detailing number of OHS related occurrences by type and cause including trend analysis. Accordingly, recommend corrective measures, as applicable.

o Take appropriate measures when occupational safety and health requirements are violated and ensure that all accidents/incidents in the departments are fully investigated under OSH jurisdiction and preventive actions are carried out by the concerned section head before report closure.

o Perform oversight functions and highlight areas needing immediate management attention. Carries the rights to close/restrict access to area/equipment/facility in consultation with the head of the department in the best interest of staff safety, after duly conducting a risk assessment. Extend similar exercises with contractor’s premises that are under BAS jurisdiction.

o Ensures proper documentation and record keeping for all department related activities. Support in Safety promotion and awareness, spreading a culture of workplace safety through workshops, briefings, sessions and corporate material wherever required.

o Assist in conducting regular audits of health & safety standards in operational areas, facilitating communication and coordination with both internal & external stakeholders on health & safety matters.

o Comply with Company’s and airport authorities’ safety & security requirements.

o Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.
